Growing up in Richmond I can’t say I don’t have fond memories of trick or treating in the neighbourhoods (because who doesn’t love the adrenaline of having finished hw early and then a quick dinner before heading out) But what do we know about the eclectic creativity of pumpkin carvers? Every halloween, pumpkin sales balloon. And then a week following said festivities, jack-o-lanterns are either tossed out, strewn to pie, composted, or baked into soup. More often than not, those masterpieces made to flaunt our patios & sun decks go without a trace. So what better way to commemorate a community’s worth of jackolanterns set-on-display, than all together in one?
