Crystal is a graphic designer, photographer and motion designer. Hailing from Discovery Bay of Hong Kong and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, she has spent her formative years immersed out of a blend of cultures, and exploring equal parts crafternoons and getting her feet wet in and out of lakes and lagoons!
An avid scrapbooker through grade school, she went on to study Art and Design, both to refine her practice and deepen her understanding of design’s place in every day life. Upon honing and further sharpening her skills in typography, she set her evenings aside to develop expertise in the area of motion-based typographic animation. She holds a bachelors degree in Communication Design from Emily Carr University.
In her spare time, she enjoys snapping photographs of critters in their natural habitat, inline skating and, when seasons allow, gets in an occasional weekend run at the local mountain and trails.
